Dr.Sheetal Sawant is an Asst.Professor in K J Somaiya College of Education. She has post graduate degree in Commerce and Education. She has also done her M.Phil and Ph.D in Education. She has qualified SET exam. She is passionate in teaching Pedagogy of Commerce and Geography, Academic Skills, Teaching : The Profession and Professionalism , Policy perspectives of Education in India for B.Ed course and Socio-cultural perspectives, Education for Social Justice and Human Rights, Historical ,Political and Economic Perspectives of Education for M.Ed. course. She has a vast teaching experience of 19 years in the field of Education. She has been the paper setter and moderator in University of Mumbai for more than 15 years. She is appointed as a field coordinator by Department of Life Long Learning and Extension, University of Mumbai for more than 15 years. She has conducted first term and second term training programme in various colleges for extension project under DLLE. She has been appointed as a resource person for first term training conducted by the Department of Life Long Learning and Extension. She was appointed as a judge for the university level street play competition by Department of Life Long Learning and Extension, University of Mumbai. She has also judge the Ward level social science project competition conducted by Homi Bhabha Research Center. She has judged the inter college teaching aid competition held by Aishabai College of Education, SNDT University. She is also the external member in course content in BOS for the SIES college, Nerul. She was called as University representative of DLLE for NAAC visit by Sharda Kurup College of Education,Ghansoli. She has also presented paper in seminar and conferences at National and International level. She has completed the orientation course conducted HRDC, University of Mumbai and Short Term Training conducted by University of Baroda. She has published two books to her credit The title of the book is Pedagogy of Teaching Economics, Publisher- Paragon International Publisher, New Delhi, Year of Publication2023,Date of publication-27-02-2023 ,ISBN - 978-93-94964-03-7. She has also published paper in national and international journals. The paper presented and published a paper titled “Empowering Students to be a Part of Global Community through SEE Learning” in International Conference Enriching Education: Integrating SEE Learning held on 06th March, 2023 organized by BOMBAY TEACHERS TRAINING COLLEGE (A Constituent College of HSNC University,Mumbai) In collaboration with SEE LEARNING, INDIA International Conference Enriching Education: Integrating SEE Learning in (Hybrid Mode).
