K J Somaiya College of Education (KJSCED),
A constituent college of Somaiya Vidyavihar University.

It is premier institute that offers B.Ed, M.Ed Programs approved by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) and is also a Ph.D Centre. Additionally, it offers diploma programs such as Post Graduate Diploma in Educational Management and Post Graduate Diploma in Educational Leadership. Recently it has initiated New Program- Master of Arts  in Educational Management and Leadership (MAEML) . It also offers few certificate courses like Human Rights Education, Queering Teacher Education, Design Thinking, Educational Technology and many more.

The Institute houses qualified and experienced teaching faculty who teaches through modern innovative and digital pedagogy. They impart teaching learning activities through project based tasks. game based methods, constructive and cooperative approacheds along with workshops, seminars, excursions, field trips etc. The faculty has designed  a student-friendly assessment which allows students to showcase their talent through alternative modes of assessment that enhances students  scholastic achievement.

Through collaborations with some of the very good schools in and around Mumbai, the institute provides ample internship opportunities to students.It has a very impressive record of placement having a large number of students employed as leaders and managers in reputed schools such as- Avalon Heights, Podar International, Orchid International, Garodia International, JBCN, The Somaiya School, Billabong, Finland International School etc.  The KJSCED students are not only placed in Mumbai, Maharashtra or India but also outside the country. The institute has expatriate alumni working abroad in reputed schools such as- GEMS Education Dubai, Ashburnham Community School London, GEMS New Millennium School- Al Khail Dubai, GEMS United Indian School Abu Dhabi UAE, Bryton School London, Red Hills School New Zealand, Ministry of Education UAE.
